About Us
Where It All Began
REACT Missions was founded by Brian and Lisa Harper in 2013. The vision for this mission grew out of mission trips taken by the Harpers to Nicaragua following the mass regional destruction caused by Hurricane Mitch in 1999. Since then the Harpers have returned to Nicaragua over 30 times in order to minister in various capacities. Their outreach has taken place in the form of supporting and building children’s homes, ministering to youth, street evangelism, leading work teams, speaking at conferences, helping with feeding programs, working with local pastors, and working on the bio-sand water filter project. The rural mountainous population in Nicaragua is often overlooked by the government and ministries. The Harper's heart is to reach these forgotten people and others like them in Latin America. In addition to continued visits to Nicaragua, the Harpers have also built relationships with a number of local pastors and leaders. They disciple, encourage and desire to see pastors united and working together to reach the unreached. REACT Missions is in the final stages of finalizing our 501C3 status. We are incorporated as a nonprofit in Pennsylvania. Federal paperwork is almost ready to be submitted. Once finalized, it will be retroactive to PA incorporation. All donations received by REACT Missions are now tax deductible.REACT is essentially a new wine skin. It has grown slowly over the past years with a ministry that prioritizes building and maintaining relationships.
Mission Statement
We build relationships with local pastors and Christian leaders in order to earn the right to speak into their lives. We seek the Word of God and the Holy Spirit for wisdom and direction on ways to edify, encourage, and build into local leaders to strengthen them in their faith, and to challenge them to take ownership for the spiritual climate in the areas they influence. We do this through prayer, preaching, teaching, and discipleship. We partner with local leaders to reach rural areas with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek opportunities to establish revenue generating activities to support those serving in ministry.
Who We Serve
Our first and foremost desire is to give honor, praise, and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ, and to proclaim His Gospel throughout the rural areas of Nicaragua and beyond. We serve local pastors, Christian leaders, and the people of Nicaragua.
Our Impact
We strengthen the local body of believers through our partnerships with local pastors and Christian leaders. We provide clean drinking water to rural communities via the Bio-sand water filter system, and in so doing we are able to build relationships and trust in order to minister to their spiritual needs.
